Privacy Policy
- I collect what you give me (a form, a call, a text, an email) and the basic technical data a website server records.
- I use it to reply to you and to run the service.
- I don't sell your information. I don't share mobile numbers or text opt-in data with anyone for marketing.
- This site has no ads, no analytics tools and no tracking cookies.
- You can ask me to show you, fix or delete what I have. Email, call or text.
Who I am and what this covers
Helmgrove is a lead-response service: it texts a business's missed callers back and alerts the owner. It is operated by Helmgrove LLC. In this policy, “Helmgrove” means that business, and “I” and “me” mean Jesse Martinez, who runs it.
This policy covers this website, and the calls, texts, emails and conversations I have with people about Helmgrove. The site is for business owners. This policy is effective October 28, 2026.
What I collect, and why
Only what you give me, plus the basic technical data a web server records.
- Contact form
- Your name, business name, mobile number, email (optional), the kind of business you run, and anything you write in the message box. I use it to reply to your request, call you back, and, if you ticked the box, text you about it.
- Text consent record
- Whether you ticked the text box, the date and time, the page you were on, and which version of the consent wording you saw. I keep it so I can show that you agreed to texts, and so I honor it if you change your mind.
- Calls and texts
- When you call or text my numbers: your phone number, the date and time, and what any text says. I use it to respond, and to keep a record of anyone who tells me to stop.
- Your email address and what you write. I use it to reply.
- My notes
- Notes I write about our conversations: what you told me about your business and your phone setup. I use them to prepare for our next call and, if you ask, to write your recap page and the wording of your texts.
- Recap pages
- If I write you a recap of a call, I put it on a page of this site: your first name, your business name, what you told me and what I suggest. I leave out anything private, such as revenue figures. The page has an address that is hard to guess, and it is hidden from search engines. It is not password-protected, so anyone who has the link can open it. Ask me and I take it down.
- Booking
- If you use my booking link: your name, email and the time you pick. The scheduling tool handles this as well (see Who handles it for me).
- Technical data
- Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you ask for, and the date and time. My web host records this when it serves the site. It helps deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems.
- Calculator
- Nothing. What you type into the calculator stays in your browser. It isn't saved or sent anywhere.
If you become a pilot partner or a customer, I also collect the business details needed to set up your service. That is covered in Businesses and their callers.
Texts, calls and your mobile number
I collect your mobile number only when you give it to me, for example in the contact form, or when you call or text my number. I use it only to respond to your request.
How the texts work is on the SMS Terms page. In short: I text you only when you've asked me to, I don't send marketing texts, and replying STOP ends them. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of buying anything.
I don't record calls unless I tell you first and you agree. That includes AI note-taking and transcription tools.
How I use your information
- To reply to your requests and set up calls.
- To send the texts and emails you asked for.
- To set up, run and check the service for businesses that sign up, including registering their texting numbers with the carriers.
- To show an owner the count of calls that got a text, and replies.
- To keep records that prove consent and that I honored opt-outs.
- To keep this site secure and working.
- To meet legal obligations.
I don't use your information for advertising, and I don't sell it, rent it or trade it.
Who handles it for me
I use outside services to run this site and the service. Each one handles your information only to do its job for me. These are the types of service I use and what each can see. If you'd like to know which company I use for any of them, ask me.
- Form provider
- The contact form sends what you type, plus the consent record, to a form service, which passes it to me.
- Web host
- Serves this site. It sees your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you ask for.
- Phone and texting provider
- Carries calls and texts for my numbers, and for the numbers I set up for businesses. It sees phone numbers, times and the content of texts. Mobile carriers, and the industry registry that approves business texting, handle the texts and see the business details filed to register a number.
- Email provider
- Hosts my email, so it holds the messages you send me and my replies.
- Scheduling tool
- If you use my booking link, it receives your name, email and the time you pick.
- AI tools
- I use AI tools to help draft and build, for example to write a recap page or the wording of a business's texts. When I do, I use what a business has told me about itself, such as its name and how it answers the phone. I keep customers' phone numbers and message contents out of AI tools. The texts a business's customers get are fixed messages the owner approved. Nothing in those conversations is made up on the spot by an AI tool.
- Payment provider
- Not chosen yet. Only if you become a paying customer, and I'll name it before any payment is taken.
- Google Fonts
- The typefaces on this site load from Google. Your browser asks Google's servers for them, and Google receives your IP address and browser details with that request. See Google's privacy policy.
Beyond those, I share information only if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety or my legal rights, or if the business is ever sold. In a sale, your information may go with it, but text-message consent does not transfer, so a new owner would have to ask you again. I don't sell personal information, and I don't share it with advertisers.
Cookies, tracking and Do Not Track
This site doesn't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, session recording or analytics tools. The site's own code doesn't set cookies. My web host or form provider may use technical cookies or similar tools to deliver the site or block spam. I don't use any of them to track you or to show you ads.
Do Not Track. I do not track you across other websites, and I do not respond to Do Not Track signals, because I do not run cross-site tracking.
Other parties. No advertising or analytics company collects information about your activity on this site, or across other sites, through it. The one outside request is Google Fonts, described above.
If I ever add analytics or advertising tags, I will update this section before they go live.
How long I keep it
- Inquiries that go no further
- The form, my notes and our messages: up to 24 months after our last contact, then I delete them.
- Recap pages
- Taken down when you ask, and no later than when I delete the rest of your inquiry (the first row above).
- Text consent and opt-outs
- Five years after you agreed or opted out, so I can show what you agreed to and that I honored your request.
- Do-not-contact list
- At least five years, so I keep honoring it.
- Businesses I work with
- Your business details and our agreement: while we work together, and afterwards for as long as business and tax records have to be kept. Call and text logs in your setup: while the setup runs. When it ends, I give you an export and delete my copies within 30 days, apart from the consent and opt-out records above and the agreement.
- Website server logs
- For as long as my web host keeps them under its own policy.
Your choices
You can ask me to tell you what I have about you, correct it, delete it, or stop texting, calling or emailing you. To ask, email, call or text me (see Contact). I may need to check it's you, for example by replying from the same email address or number. I'll answer within 30 days. If I need to keep something, such as a record that you opted out or something the law requires, I'll tell you what and why.
To stop texts, reply STOP to any text from me. To stop emails, reply “no” to any email from me. To stop calls, tell me.
These choices are open to everyone, wherever you live. People in California and some other states also have rights under their own laws. Asking me works the same way.
Security
I use reputable providers, and this site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No system is perfectly secure, so I can't promise your information could never be exposed. If something goes wrong that affects your information, I'll tell you as the law requires.
If I contacted you first
I contact business owners by hand, one at a time, by phone, email, message or in person. I don't use automatic dialers, recorded messages or artificial voices. I get your business contact details from public business sources such as your website or a business listing, from someone who knows you, or from meeting you.
Every cold email says who I am, includes my mailing address, and tells you how to opt out. I don't send cold texts. I text you only after you've asked me to, for example by ticking the text box on the form, texting me first, or saying yes when I ask “Can I text you the recap?”
If you tell me not to contact you, I add your name, your number or email, the date and how you told me to my do-not-contact list, and I don't contact you again. I keep that list so I keep honoring it.
Businesses and their callers
If you become a pilot partner or a customer, I collect the business details needed to set up your service: your legal business name and address, your EIN or other registration details, your phone carrier and type of phone line, your business hours, and who should get lead alerts. I share the registration details with my texting provider and the carriers' registry so your number can be registered, and for nothing else. If you pay for the service, payment details go only to the payment provider I use. I'll name it before any payment is taken.
When a business uses Helmgrove, the business decides to text its callers, and the texts come from the business's own number, in its name. For those callers I am a service provider to the business. I handle the caller's phone number, the time of the call and any messages only to run the setup for that business and to show the owner the count. I don't use callers' information for my own marketing, I don't sell it, and I don't share it with anyone except the providers listed above.
If you got a text from a business that uses Helmgrove and you want it to stop, reply STOP. To ask what that business has about you, contact the business. If you contact me instead, I'll pass your request on.
Children
This site is for business owners. It isn't directed to children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent me information, tell me and I'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
When I change this policy, I change the date at the top. For a significant change, I'll also put a notice at the top of this page for at least 30 days, and I'll email the businesses I'm working with.
Contact
Questions, or a request about your information: call (559) 840-7710, text the same number, or email jesse@helmgrove.com. I reply within one business day.
