Founding pilot

Founding pilot terms

Last updated October 28, 2026

In plain words
  • Free 7-day setup for the first 3 businesses, in exchange for honest feedback and permission to share your real numbers. 3 of 3 spots open.
  • You approve exactly what's shared, each time, and you can take that permission back for future uses.
  • A testimonial is optional. If you give one, it's in your own words, good or bad, and you approve it before it's used. The setup doesn't depend on what you say.
  • You get the monthly price in writing before we start. After day 7, nothing renews and nothing bills.
  • Month to month after that. Cancel with a text. Nothing bills without your yes.
  • You keep your business number and your scripts. Who holds the texting account is written down before we start, and your contacts and message history are yours to export on request.
  • You approve every automated text, and you're responsible for using texting lawfully with your customers. I set it up so every text names your business, says it's automatic, and honors STOP.
  • The guarantees are about my work, not your sales.

What this is

This page sets the terms of the founding pilot of the 7-Day Missed-Call Rescue (the “pilot”). It is between you, the owner of a business (“you”), and Helmgrove LLC (“Helmgrove,” “I” and “me”), which is run by Jesse Martinez. A business in the pilot is a “founding partner.” That is a name, not a legal relationship. It doesn't make us business partners, and you aren't my employee, agent or co-owner.

The pilot is for owner-run businesses, mainly contractors and home-service trades, powersports dealers, and marinas and lake businesses. The first 3 businesses to agree get a founding spot. A spot counts once you and I have both said yes in writing. I may decline a business if I don't think it's a fit, and I'll say so honestly.

You agree to these terms by telling me yes in writing (a text or an email is fine), or by signing a copy if I send you one. Before I file anything for you, I send you the monthly price in writing, so you've seen it before we start.

I'm not a lawyer, and this page isn't legal advice. If you'd like a lawyer to read it before you say yes, please do. I'm glad to wait.

What I do

  • Hold a setup call of about 15 minutes. You tell me how you answer the phone and what customers usually ask.
  • Write the automatic texts in your words, for your trade. Nothing goes live until you approve it in writing.
  • File your business's texting registration with the carriers the day we talk, and tell you the day it clears.
  • Set up forwarding for unanswered calls, usually on the number you already have. I check how your carrier handles it first. Your number doesn't change.
  • Switch on the missed-call text-back once the carriers approve, and make a test call with you. The text comes from a local texting number set up for your business, and it names your business and says it's automatic.
  • Send you a lead alert when someone calls and you miss it: who called, what they said if they replied, and how to reach them. How the alert reaches you is set up on the setup call, and you watch one land on the test call.
  • Reply to after-hours website and message inquiries too: by text where your form asks for permission to text, otherwise by email or in the same inbox.
  • Read every missed call and every reply from the first day, test it from a different carrier, check nights and weekends, and fix anything that reads wrong, with your OK.
  • Send you a count partway through, and a weekly summary of caught leads: missed calls that got a text, and replies.
  • Hold a 10-minute review on day 7 with the real numbers.
  • Answer within one business day when you text me about a problem.

What Helmgrove doesn't do. It doesn't answer your phone, quote prices, promise dates or book jobs. It doesn't record calls. It doesn't send promotional texts, and it doesn't text people who haven't contacted your business. A person from your business takes over every conversation after the first text.

What you do

  • Give me what registration needs. Your legal business name and address as the IRS has them, your EIN (or your sole-proprietor details if you don't have one), your phone carrier and type of phone line, who should get the lead alerts, and your business hours. If you don't have an EIN, tell me and we'll work out the right registration type together. Please don't send a Social Security number by text or email.
  • Approve the texts. Read each one and tell me yes, or what to change. It takes about 15 minutes.
  • Confirm you're allowed to do this. You own or control the phone line and the carrier account, or have permission to use them, and you can agree to the pilot for your business.
  • Use texting lawfully. See Your texts, your customers, and the law.
  • Tell me if something looks wrong. Text me. You can test it yourself any time with one call from your cell phone.
  • Give honest feedback. Short check-ins and the day-7 review. Tell me what's confusing and what isn't working. That is the point of the pilot.

The 7 days

The 7-day clock starts the day the carriers approve your texting number. Approval usually takes a few days and sometimes longer. It's outside my control. Until it clears, nothing is live.

From that day the pilot runs 7 days, with checks along the way and a review on day 7. The day-by-day plan is on the home page.

What it costs, and what I ask in return

The setup and the 7 days cost you nothing. I pay the texting registration and any provider charges during the pilot. If a provider needs a card on file from you, I'll tell you before we start, and nothing is charged to you during the pilot. Nothing bills automatically.

In exchange, I ask for three things:

  1. Honest feedback. What works, what doesn't, what's confusing. Criticism is welcome.
  2. Permission to share your real numbers. The counts from your pilot, such as missed calls, texts sent and replies. You approve exactly what's shared, each time. See Sharing numbers, a testimonial and your name.
  3. Introductions. If you're happy with it, I'll ask you to introduce me to other owners. Whether to, and who, is your call.

A testimonial is not one of the three. It's optional, and the setup doesn't depend on whether you give one or on what it says.

Sharing numbers, a testimonial and your name

You decide, item by item, what I may share and where. Your name, your business name and a testimonial are fully optional. Permission to share your real numbers is one of the three things I ask for in exchange for the no-cost setup. If you'd rather not share any, tell me before we start, and I'll tell you honestly whether a founding spot still fits.

Your real numbers

Before the pilot starts, I ask you to say in writing exactly what I may share: which numbers, where (for example on this site, or when I talk to other owners), and whether your name goes with them. I note the date. I share nothing outside that, and if I want to share something new, I ask again. I don't change the numbers, round them up or present them as typical. When I share them, I say they come from one business over one week, what they measured, and that yours will differ.

A testimonial

A testimonial is optional and separate from everything else on this page. If you give one, it's in your own words, good or bad, and you approve the exact text in writing before I use it. I never write one for you, change its meaning, or use made-up, composite or AI-written testimonials.

Your name and business name

I don't put your name, your business name or your logo on this site, or anywhere public, without your written OK.

How it's labeled

Anything public that uses your quote or your numbers says, right next to it and not behind a link: “Received a free founding setup from Helmgrove.” If you're family or a friend of mine, it says that too.

Taking a permission back

You can take back any permission at any time by telling me in writing (a text is fine). From then on I stop using it, I take it down from the places I control within 7 days, and I don't use it in anything new. I can't undo what has already been seen, printed or copied by other people.

After day 7

On day 7 we review the numbers together, about 10 minutes. You decide yes or no. Nothing bills either way.

If you say yes. The paid service is one flat monthly price for your business, which I give you in writing before we start. It covers the missed-call texts, the lead alerts, the weekly count and the day-7 review. It's month to month, and you can cancel any time with a text. Nothing bills unless you've said yes in writing, and I never switch you to paid on my own. The written price says exactly what it includes, including any provider or carrier fees, so nothing surprises you. The second guarantee in The guarantees covers your first paid month.

If you say no, or I don't hear back. The pilot ends. I switch off the missed-call text-back and the forwarding, and I tell you when it's done. I also close your texting registration so no fees keep running. Call forwarding lives on your phone account, so I'll help you turn it off there if it's still on. You keep everything listed in Who owns what. If you change your mind later, tell me and we'll talk.

Who owns what

  • Your number. Your existing phone number stays yours. It never moves to me. Who holds the texting account, and how it moves to you if you leave, is written in your setup agreement before we start.
  • Your contacts and messages. Your contacts, your customers' details and the message history are yours. You can ask for an export any time, and I'll send it promptly.
  • Your texts and scripts. The wording written for your business is yours to keep and use.
  • My tools. I keep my own templates, methods and tools, and the Helmgrove name and materials. I may reuse what I learn about running a setup, without your name, your numbers or your customers' details.

Your business information and your customers' numbers and messages are used only to run your setup and show you the count. See Your information.

Your texts, your customers, and the law

The texts go out under your name, from a local texting number set up for your business, to people who just called you. So:

  • You approve every automatic text before it goes live, and you tell me when you want one changed.
  • You're responsible for using texting lawfully with your customers. That includes honoring any request to stop, not using the setup to send ads, and not asking me to text people who haven't contacted your business.
  • I set it up so every text names your business, says it's automatic, and includes a way to stop. If someone asks to stop in their own words, they're taken off the list. I read the replies during the pilot to catch those.
  • After the first text, a person from your business takes over. The text never quotes a price, promises a day or confirms availability.
  • If a customer complains, tell me right away so we can sort it out together.

Texting and calling rules are complicated, and they change. I'm not a lawyer and I can't give legal advice about your business. If you have questions about your own obligations, ask your lawyer.

Ending the pilot early

You can end it at any time. Text or email me that you want to stop. I turn off the missed-call text-back and the forwarding promptly, and help you turn off forwarding on your phone account. You keep everything in Who owns what, and you owe nothing.

I can end it if a carrier or provider won't approve your registration or closes the account, if you ask me to do something I believe would break the law or a carrier's rules, or if something makes it impossible or unsafe to continue. I'll tell you why, you owe nothing, and I still send you your export.

What I'm responsible for, and what I'm not

  • I'm responsible for doing the work in What I do with care, and for the guarantee below.
  • I don't promise sales, jobs, revenue or a number of leads. I can't control whether a caller hires you.
  • Texting runs through phone providers and mobile carriers I don't control. They can delay, filter or block a message, change their rules, or have an outage. Callers on landlines, blocked numbers and some toll-free numbers can't get texts at all. Whether forwarding unanswered calls works depends on your carrier and plan. It usually does, and I'll tell you before we start if it won't on your line.
  • I'm not responsible for what you do with a lead, or for claims that come from the content of texts you approved.
  • Because the pilot costs you nothing, the most I owe you under it, to the extent the law allows, is to fix the setup and keep working until it does what What I do and the pilot guarantee describe. I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost jobs.
  • Nothing here limits responsibility for fraud, intentional wrongdoing, or anything else the law doesn't let me limit.

I'm one person, and this business is new. If something isn't working, I'll tell you straight.

The guarantee

The guarantee is about my work, not your sales.

Live, or I keep working free. The 7-day clock starts the day the carriers approve your texting number. I file that registration the day we talk, and I tell you the day it clears. If missed calls from mobile numbers aren't getting a text back within about a minute by day 7, I keep working free until they are. If the carriers turn down your registration and we can't fix it, I'll tell you why and the pilot ends. You owe nothing. This is part of the founding pilot, which costs nothing in exchange for honest feedback and permission to share your real numbers.

I can't promise you more jobs, and anyone who does is guessing. Texts go to callers on mobile numbers, usually within about a minute. Delivery depends on the carriers.

Your information

The Privacy Policy explains what I collect and why. For the pilot: the registration details you give me (legal business name, address, EIN or other registration details) go to my texting provider and the carriers' registry to register your number, and nowhere else. Callers' numbers and messages in your setup stay in the texting account, and I use them only to run it and show you the count. When the pilot ends, I give you an export and delete my copies within 30 days, apart from this agreement and the consent and opt-out records the Privacy Policy lists.

Changes and the whole agreement

These terms, the written monthly price if you continue, and anything else we agree in writing are the whole agreement for the pilot. I won't change the terms of your pilot after you've said yes without your written OK. If I update this page later, the update applies to businesses that join after that, not to yours. If a written message from me about your own deal, such as your monthly price, differs from this page, that message wins. If a part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.

Tennessee law

Tennessee law governs the pilot. If we disagree, we start by talking: call or text me, and I'll listen and try to fix it. If we can't sort it out, either of us may go to the state courts of Montgomery County, Tennessee, or to the federal court that covers Montgomery County, and we both agree those courts can hear it. Nothing here takes away rights that your own state's law gives you and that can't be waived.
